I was sitting with one of the clients I see at Healthcare for the Homeless-Houston. We talked about goals, about success and discouragement. He seemed more discouraged than I usually see him, but then said, “I AM grateful.” He went on to say, “As soon as I stub my toe I go blind.”
Being one who stubs my toe more often than I like to admit, I get it. And I am grateful for the One who repeatedly performs the miracle of restoring my sight.
I am grateful:
- for clients who remind me of what is important
- for clients who model persistance
- who keep coming back
- who are not afraid to ask for help
- who say “thank you” for simply waking up in the morning
Thank you for today
Thank you for restoring my sight
Thank you for restoring my sight today
