It seems important to say something about what I write on these pages and in this blog:

I write pages as a continued exercise in identifying and articulating thoughts and experiences, particularly concerning the homeless with whom I work as a chaplain and grief which visits all of us at one time or another.  I hope that these pages also have something to offer to you in inspiration or challenge, thoughts to consider, hope…

And then there is the daily blog writing, the “Posts,” most often catching the heart need, my heart need, to put into prayer my encounters, again often with homeless persons.   Usually I write of these encounters in the format: “THIS IS MY PRAYER.”  I write in both the voice [as my heart hears and retains it] of the person(s) with whom I have engaged and in my own voice, prayer, reaching out to the one I count on to hear and hold us all.

That may differ for my readers.  Some may have a need to define this one more rigidly or may have a resistance to defining or identifying one at all.  I honor you and your path.  I share with you mine.

And I am aware that my path continues to develop daily.  You and each of these men and women, loved ones with whom I engage contribute to this path unfolding.

Thank you.  I welcome and need your input.

Hope all had a good New Years. Mine was great! Got to sleep with my girlfriend for 2 nights and we took long walks during the day. Good for my head, and her big behind. hehe. Don’t worry about me robbing the cradle tho…she is almost as old as me-in dog years.
